Matcha Bubble Tea

Matcha bubble tea: the pearl-fect beverage for any occasion this summer! Serves 1.

INGREDIENTS

METHOD

  • For every 35g of Boba used, measure 500ml water. Bring the water to the boil over high heat.

  • Add the Boba and and gently stir until the pearls rise to the top of the water. Lower the heat and cook the pearls for 12-15 mins. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and let the pearls sit for 12-15 mins.

  • Add the matcha powder, honey or nectar and a teaspoon of water to a cup and whisk until paste consistency.

  • Add the milk to a frother or whisk

  • Gently pour onto your matcha paste and leave to cool.

  • Drain the Boba and place in a bowl. Pour a tablespoon of honey and mix the Boba until fully coated in honey.

  • Leave to rest at room temperature for at least 15 minutes, or refrigerate.

  • Pour the matcha tea into a tall glass, add the Boba, and stir. If desired, you can add a teaspoon more of honey to taste.
