Matcha Bubble Tea
Matcha bubble tea: the pearl-fect beverage for any occasion this summer! Serves 1.
INGREDIENTS
35g dried boba tapioca pearls
200ml dairy-free milk
1tbsp honey or agave nectar
500ml water
METHOD
For every 35g of Boba used, measure 500ml water. Bring the water to the boil over high heat.
Add the Boba and and gently stir until the pearls rise to the top of the water. Lower the heat and cook the pearls for 12-15 mins. Remove the pan from the heat, cover and let the pearls sit for 12-15 mins.
Add the matcha powder, honey or nectar and a teaspoon of water to a cup and whisk until paste consistency.
Add the milk to a frother or whisk
Gently pour onto your matcha paste and leave to cool.
Drain the Boba and place in a bowl. Pour a tablespoon of honey and mix the Boba until fully coated in honey.
Leave to rest at room temperature for at least 15 minutes, or refrigerate.
Pour the matcha tea into a tall glass, add the Boba, and stir. If desired, you can add a teaspoon more of honey to taste.
